About this file
This document is an introductory cover page for CDMRP Funding Opportunity Application Instructions. It explains that the General Application Instructions (GAI) are companion guidance designed to be read alongside a program announcement for funding opportunities offered by the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP). The GAI provides supplementary details and procedural instructions for both preparing and submitting applications, while the program announcement itself contains the basic information about what to submit.
The document emphasizes the importance of version alignment, instructing applicants to ensure that the GAI version on the cover page matches the version specified on the front page of the corresponding program announcement. Applicants are directed to use hyperlinks provided in the program announcement to access the GAI. This is a superfluous cover page or preamble rather than substantive guidance, serving primarily to orient users to the relationship between the GAI and program announcement documents.
