About this file
This document is a complete specification for pharmacy flooring in support of the Department of Veterans Affairs pharmacy compounding room floor replacement project (Solicitation Number 36C24626Q1025). The specification establishes technical and performance requirements for flooring materials and installation in a pharmacy environment requiring compliance with pharmaceutical industry standards and infection control protocols.
The flooring specification details material composition requirements, surface characteristics, durability standards, chemical resistance properties, and installation methodologies appropriate for a compounding room setting. The specification addresses critical performance attributes including cleanability, antimicrobial properties, slip resistance, static control, and compatibility with pharmaceutical operations. Installation requirements encompass substrate preparation, adhesive specifications, grout and sealant standards, and quality assurance procedures to ensure the finished floor meets pharmaceutical operational standards. The specification likely includes performance testing requirements, warranty provisions, and maintenance protocols necessary to support the Veterans Health Administration's facility operations at Veterans Integrated Service Network 6.
