About this file

This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) issued by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) for procuring scissors used in marking hatchery salmon and steelhead. The solicitation seeks two types of scissors: Noyes Scissors (projected yearly purchase of 4,000) and Knee Bend Scissors (projected yearly purchase of 100), to be procured on an as-needed basis. The quotation is due by Friday, June 13, 2025, at 12:00 Noon, with a required delivery date of four weeks after receipt of each order. The contract allows for potential renewal annually for up to five years under the same terms and conditions, with a tentative start date of June 1, 2025.

The RFQ includes specific technical specifications for the scissors, requiring new and unused items made of Pakistani grade stainless steel with precise measurements. Shipping is FOB destination and prepaid, with costs to be included in the bid price. The document offers potential bid preferences for small businesses or veteran-owned businesses, with a 5% reduction for contracts valued at $150,000 or more. Payment terms are net 30 days after satisfactory delivery and invoice submission. The solicitation emphasizes environmental considerations, requesting packaging without color or dyes to minimize polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), and includes provisions for potential future purchase orders on an as-needed basis.
