About this file
This is a Performance Bond document related to a Construction Materials solicitation issued by the County of Orange, OC Public Works in California. The document establishes the bonding requirements that contractors must meet upon award of the contract. The performance bond serves as a guarantee that the awarded contractor will fulfill all contractual obligations and complete the work in accordance with the specifications and terms outlined in the contract. Contractors must submit the required performance bond prior to commencing work, and the bond amount is typically set at a percentage of the total contract value as specified in the solicitation documents. The bond ensures financial accountability and protects the County from potential losses due to contractor default or non-performance.
The performance bond requirement is a standard procurement protection mechanism that applies to all awarded bidders under this fully electronic solicitation process. Bidders should review all bonding requirements detailed in the model contract and solicitation documents before submitting their proposals through the County's eProcurement Portal. The specific bond amount, surety company requirements, and any additional bonding conditions should be clearly understood by prospective contractors to ensure compliance upon contract award and prior to project execution.
