About this file

This is a Performance Bond template document for the Georgia World Congress Center Authority related to a Terrazzo Floor Restoration Service contract opportunity in Georgia. The bond establishes a formal agreement between a contractor (principal), a surety company, and the Authority (obligee) to ensure faithful performance of contracted work. The bond amount equals the contract price and obligates the contractor and surety to perform all work in accordance with contract terms, drawings, and specifications. The specific project details, contract date, work description, and engineer/architect information are to be inserted into the blank fields of this standard form.

The Performance Bond outlines the surety's obligations and liabilities, including the requirement to remedy any contractor defaults within twenty-five days of receiving written notice of default and to provide updates upon completion of corrections. The surety must also ensure payment of any unpaid subcontractors, materialmen, or laborers within thirty days of the Authority's notification of non-payment. The bond specifies that the Authority may make inquiries regarding payment status at any time and that no right of action on the bond extends to parties other than the Authority or its legal successors. The bond requires identification of an authorized Georgia-licensed agent for correspondence and business matters related to the bond, and the surety waives notice requirements for any changes, extensions, alterations, or additions to the contract terms.
