About this file

This is Addendum No. 3, issued October 7, 2026, by the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners Department of Airports for the DJT Airfield Vault Building Expansion project (PB 26-12). The addendum modifies the original proposal documents through additions, deletions, clarifications, and corrections that become part of the contract documents. Proposers must acknowledge receipt of this addendum and attach it to their proposal. The addendum introduces a new specification section for Interior and Exterior Signage and Graphics (Section 10 40 00), clarifies concrete sealer requirements for both existing and new concrete slabs, specifies signage locations for interior door 102A and exterior doors 100A, 100B, 100C, and 101A, and confirms that Core-Fill 500 foam insulation is acceptable as a substitute for Owens Corning Foamular NGX 250 for filling CMU cells. Additionally, the addendum notifies bidders that only documents specifically associated with PB 26-12 downloaded via the PBC VSS portal should be considered, and all other documents must be deleted and removed.

The signage specification requires interior signs with anodized brushed silver frames, Masonite backers, and brushed silver laminated plastic inserts; exterior signs with anodized matte black frames and phenolic panels; workstation signs with mill finish aluminum and brushed silver overlays; and directional signs of PVC foamboard with digital print. All signage must comply with ADA accessibility guidelines and ANSI A117.1-1992 standards, featuring tactile characters raised 1/32 inch, Grade 2 Raster Braille for room numbers, and Helvetica Bold sans serif lettering in black. Approved signage manufacturers include ASI-Modulex Inc., Baron Sign Manufacturing, Desk & Door Name Plate, or pre-approved equals. Sign sizes vary by type, ranging from 3" x 8" for room numbers only to 8" x 8" for room identification and restroom signs. All signs carry a five-year warranty from installation date, with paint finishes warranted for five years from substantial completion.
