About this file

This Payment Bond document is issued by the City of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, for the 32nd Avenue Bike Lanes project. The bond serves as a financial guarantee that the principal contractor will promptly pay all persons, firms, subcontractors, and corporations furnishing materials or performing labor for the project, including expenses for materials, equipment, tools, insurance premiums, and labor. The bond covers the full scope of work as specified in the contract, with provisions that allow for extensions or modifications without affecting the surety's obligation.

The bond is structured with a penal sum to be determined, and it requires the surety to remain liable even if changes are made to the contract terms or project specifications. The document stipulates that the surety waives notice of any contract alterations and remains committed to the financial obligations. Important notes specify that the surety companies must appear on the Treasury Department's current list and be authorized to conduct business in Colorado, with the bond's date not to precede the contract date.
