About this file

This document is Appendix A, a detailed Technical Requirements and Compliance Checklist for Pavement Marking Supplies, prepared for the City of St. Petersburg's Stormwater, Pavement, and Traffic Operations Department. The specification document outlines comprehensive technical requirements for various pavement marking components including thermoplastic traffic marking materials, glass beads, traffic paint, raised pavement markers, car stops, bituminous marker adhesive, and preformed pavement marking symbols. Each component has specific technical specifications from manufacturers like Crown Technology, Potters Industries, Ennis Paint, Safety Coatings, and LKF Vejmarkering A/S, with requirements covering attributes such as chemical resistance, weather durability, application temperatures, FDOT approval, and compliance with federal and military standards.

The document is structured as a detailed compliance checklist that requires vendors to document their proposed products' specifications and demonstrate compliance with each technical requirement. Key specifications include lead-free formulations, low volatile organic compound (VOC) levels, ability to apply in various weather conditions, impact resistance, and compatibility with existing road surfaces. The specifications are designed to ensure high-quality, durable pavement marking supplies that meet rigorous performance standards for municipal transportation infrastructure. Vendors must provide detailed proposals that match or exceed the specified technical requirements, with the understanding that failure to complete the specification documentation may result in a non-responsive bid.
