About this file

This document is an Invitation for Sealed Bids issued by the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks (MDWFP) for the sale of surplus property consisting of three (3) cottages, furniture, and appliances located at the Paul B. Johnson State Park in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. The sealed bids are due by 2:00 p.m. on October 23, 2024, and will be opened immediately thereafter. The surplus property is offered in "as is" condition, and the successful bidder will be required to remove the property within seven (7) business days of verifying payment. MDWFP reserves the right to define equals, reject any and/or all bids, and to award the bid in the best interest of the agency.

The bid award will be based on the highest total bid price, with factors such as the bidder's ability to transport the sold property within the allotted time frame also considered. Certified checks for payment must be made payable to MDWFP within five (5) days of the bid award, and failure to remove the property within the specified timeframe may result in the forfeiture of payment and the property being offered for re-sale or destroyed.
