About this file

This document is Part II of the Scope of Services/Work Specifications for a transit shelter contract with Sarasota County Transit (SCT) in Florida. The scope covers the fabrication and delivery of transit/bus shelters and related amenities, with two primary shelter sizes available: 3 feet by 9 feet and 4 feet by 12 feet. The shelters must be designed to withstand Florida's climate conditions, comply with multiple building and engineering standards, and feature specific technical requirements including aluminum framework, perforated wall panels, and a Blue/Green RAL 6004 color finish. Additional amenities include benches, bike racks, map frames, trash receptacles, and solar lighting kits. The contract anticipates an initial term with detailed specifications for product design, warranty, delivery timelines, and performance standards.

The document outlines comprehensive technical requirements for the shelters, including strict material specifications, finish standards, and warranty terms. Vendors must provide a product catalog and can be required to deliver shelters within sixteen weeks and amenities within fourteen weeks of purchase order issuance. The warranty covers five years for products and workmanship, with specific provisions for finish (two years), photovoltaic panels (ten years), and battery performance. Invoicing will be based on a fee schedule with potential discounts, and all products must be delivered during normal business hours. The specification document provides extensive details on construction methods, materials, mounting requirements, and performance expectations for each component of the transit shelter system.
