About this file
This document appears to be a set of questions and answers regarding the CSA Automated Test Stand, which is the subject of a federal contract opportunity. The key details are:
The CSA Automated Test Stand is listed as having a "25K" capacity, but it is unclear if this refers to a 25,000 kg load rating. The government respondent indicates that Intercomp had proposed a "25K" stand, but the current models from Intercomp have up to 100,000 lb (50,000 kg) capacity. The government states the offeror should focus on the CSA Automated Test Stand.
Regarding the types of scales the test stand needs to accommodate, the government indicates it is for an "existing infrastructure" to support the equipment and complement the existing Digital Aircraft Weight Scales (DAWS) press calibration systems. The government states a custom test stand not made by Intercomp would be acceptable if it is comparable or better than the requested item.
The related federal contract opportunity is for the Procurement of Automated Test Stand, solicitation number PANRSA-24-P-0000-004084, issued by the Department of the Army Materiel Command Contracting Command Redstone Arsenal.

CSA Automated Test Stand Q&A
1. The stand is listed as CSA AUTOMATED TEST STAND (25K), but the "25K" doesn't seem to match the current models made by Intercomp. Can you tell us if 25K refers to a load rating (e.g., 25,000 kg)?
“Intercomp had (25K) in their pre-quote to USATA, but I also don’t see a coloration because there is up to 100k lb (50k) capacity. I would just recommend they focus on the CSA Automated Test Stand for Aircraft Scales.”
2. Was there any response to the types of scales that this will need to test (all Intercomp brand?, any model numbers available)?
“it's for an existing infrastructure to support the stated equipment and it would complement the already existing Digital Aircraft Weight Scales (DAWS) press calibration systems.”
3. Will a custom test stand that is not made by Intercomp, but performs the intended function be acceptable?
“If what they are offering is comparable or better than what we are requesting, then yes.”
