Statement of Work Summary
This Statement of Work (SOW) details a comprehensive office cubicle and furniture replacement project for Building 343 at Fort Shafter, Hawaii. The contractor shall provide all necessary personnel, materials, equipment, and supervision to deliver, assemble, and install new office cubicle workspaces and associated furniture in Rooms 105, 105-A, 105-B, 108, 109, 110, 111, and 112. The project addresses outdated, worn existing cubicles featuring inefficient configurations and inadequate ergonomic design and cable management. Work must be completed within 180 calendar days from the date of contract award and shall be performed during normal working hours (Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, excluding Federal holidays). All work must comply with applicable federal, state, and local building codes and environmental regulations, as well as manufacturer's installation standards and industry best practices.
The contractor's primary tasks include: (1) project management and design validation, including verification of site conditions and Bill of Materials completeness; (2) delivery and staging of all furniture and materials, including ocean freight from the mainland to Fort Shafter; (3) assembly and installation of all new office cubicles and furniture per approved layout drawings; (4) site maintenance and cleanup, including removal of all product-related debris and disposal at an off-site facility. The SOW specifies two optional tasks executed only upon Government direction: removal and disposal of existing furniture in a 30-yard dumpster, and provision of a licensed electrician to connect furniture systems to existing building power (excluding new wiring or conduit installation). The Government and tenants are responsible for disconnecting and removing personal belongings, providing worksite access and utilities, and designating a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) as the point of contact. Final acceptance occurs upon Government verification that all tasks are completed in accordance with the SOW and high workmanship standards, monitored through the Government's Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan.
