About this file
This is an AFMC Form 158 Packaging Requirements document for Purchase Instrument Number FD20202600488-00, Version 1, generated on April 29, 2026. The document establishes packaging specifications for three line items under military standards MIL-STD 129 Revision R and MIL-STD 2073-1 Revision E.
The document contains a mandatory compliance statement regarding United Nations-implemented restrictions on wood packaging material (WPM), specifically addressing invasive species such as the pinewood nematode. All wooden lumber, pallets, and containers must be constructed from debarked wood and heat-treated at 56 degrees Centigrade (133 degrees Fahrenheit) for 30 minutes minimum, with certification and marking required by an accredited agency recognized by the American Lumber Standards Committee (ALSC). Two items (1190DTG2602C6NB and 1190DTG2602C5NB) have no packaging data requirements. The third item (119001111437NB) requires MIL Long Line Packaging under Preservation Level MIL and Packaging Level B, with unit pack weight of 69.50 pounds, dimensions of 24.0 x 16.0 x 16.0 inches, and a cube of 3.555. Vendor packaging instructions specify compliance with MIL-STD-2073-1 for military packaging and MIL-STD-129 for shipping and storage markings, with additional marking and bar coding requirements potentially exceeding standard requirements. The packaging specialist is Stephanie M. Oyler, 406 SCMS/GULAA, contacted at 801-777-8836, with signature dated April 2, 2026.
