About this file

The document is a Packaging Requirements form for a federal contract, specifying detailed packaging and marking standards for military shipments. The document covers two specific items (1680DTG25037DWF and 1680011689396WF) and mandates compliance with MIL-STD-129 (Revision R) and MIL-STD-2073-1 (Revision E) for packaging and marking. Key requirements include using debarked wood treated to 56 degrees Centigrade for 30 minutes for all wooden packaging materials, with certification by an agency recognized by the American Lumber Standards Committee, to prevent invasive species transmission.

The packaging instructions require vendors to follow military packaging standards, with specific coding for preservation methods, wrapping materials, cushioning, and unit container specifications. Shipping containers must be marked according to MIL-STD-129, with potential additional bar coding or serial number requirements. The document was generated by the Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) on 28 May 2025, with the packaging specialist Charles B. Davis from the 406 SCMS/GULAA organization signing off on the requirements on 21 APR 2025.
