About this file

This document is a Section D Clause (WSSTERMDZ03) detailing Preservation, Packaging, Packing, and Marking Requirements for a Navy contract (N0038325PR0R769). The document specifies packaging standards for two specific NSN-coded aviation materials (NSN 1615-01-158-9679 and 1660-01-145-2668), requiring adherence to MIL-STD-2073-1E for packaging specifications and MIL-STD-129 for marking. Reusable NSN container requirements differ based on material type: maritime materials require contractor-furnished containers, while aviation materials may be government-furnished with specific request procedures (90 days prior for new procurements, 30 days for repair contracts). The document provides detailed technical packaging instructions including preservation methods, cushioning requirements, container levels, and special marking codes for each item.
