About this file
This is an addendum to a solicitation issued by Gwinnett County Department of Water Resources (GCDWR) in Georgia for the purchase of activated carbon on an annual contract basis. The solicitation seeks full supersacks of activated carbon with a volume of 40 cubic feet per unit and a nominal weight of 1,100 pounds, though GCDWR reserves the right to adjust pricing based on actual product density, as different suppliers may provide varying weights (for example, Purafil's product typically weighs approximately 1,600 pounds per supersack when full). The quote submission deadline was postponed to Friday, November 5, 2021, at 1:00 PM. All quotes must be submitted to Brittany Taylor, Purchasing Associate II, and must include acknowledgment of the addendum on the quote schedule to avoid being deemed non-responsive.
The addendum reflects a reassignment of the solicitation from Teresa Beecham to Brittany Taylor, with all inquiries and quote submissions now directed to Taylor at 770-822-7759 or brittany.k.taylor@gwinnettcounty.com. Any quotes previously submitted to Beecham must be resubmitted to Taylor by the established deadline. The clarification regarding product specifications addresses a discrepancy in the original solicitation regarding quantity specifications, confirming that the procurement is based on full supersack units rather than a specific pound weight, allowing flexibility in pricing adjustments to account for variations in carbon density among suppliers.

ADDENDUM #2

Revisions:
R1. The quote deadline has been postponed to Friday, November 05, 2021, no later than 1:00PM.
R2. This solicitation has been reassigned to Brittany Taylor, Purchasing Associate II. Please contact Brittany for any information pertaining to this solicitation at 770-822-7759 or brittany.k.taylor@gwinnettcounty.com. Quotes should be submitted to Brittany by the deadline above.
R3. Any quotes submitted to Teresa Beecham will need to be resubmitted to Brittany by the deadline above.
Questions and Answers:
Q1. Can you please clarify if you require 1,000 bags or 1,100 bags? Pages 4 and 5 mentions 1,100 bags, however the quote schedule on Page 7 uses 1,000 bags.
A1. The intent of the current bid is to purchase full supersacks, i.e. 40 cubic feet of volume. 1,100 pounds is the nominal weight, based on the average weight of activated carbon; GCDWR reserves the right to adjust the price of each submittal based on its respective density. For example, Purafil offers a heavier product, which is why their supersacks typically weigh about 1,600 pounds when full.
This addendum should be acknowledged in the line provided on the Quote Schedule. Failure to do so may result in your quote being deemed non-responsive.
Thank you, Brittany Taylor
