About this file

This document is an Addendum No. 1 for an Informal Competitive solicitation (P25-0021) issued by the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) on 7/25/2025, containing questions and answers related to a Hydrated Lime procurement. The document addresses three specific inquiries about the purchase order, clarifying that the first order will not be placed on the originally scheduled August 1, 2025 date, but instead will be placed after the Purchase Order is dispatched and CDFA is ready to order.

The pricing information reveals that CDFA's most recent purchase of Hydrated Lime was at a rate of $0.525 per pound in 35-pound bags, with a previous purchase order totaling $21,000 for 40,000 pounds. The department acknowledges that usage can vary, and therefore has not provided a definitive estimated total cost for the full contract term. The document provides transparency about recent pricing and procurement history while maintaining flexibility for potential variations in future ordering needs.
