National Park Service 01 67 00 - 3
2. Eliminate the use of ozone depleting compounds during and after fabrication where alternative environmentally preferable products are available, consistent with either the Montreal Protocol and Title VI or the Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990, or equivalent overall air quality benefits that take into account life cycle impacts.
PART 2 - PRODUCTS
2.1 PRODUCT SELECTION PROCEDURES
A. General Product Requirements: Provide products that comply with the Contract Documents, that are undamaged and, unless otherwise indicated, that are new at time of installation.
1. Government reserves the right to limit selection to products with warranties not in conflict with requirements of the Contract Documents.
2. Descriptive, performance, and reference standard requirements in the Specifications establish "salient characteristics" of products.
B. Product Selection Procedures:
1. Product: Where Specifications name a single product, provide the named product that complies with requirements or approved equal.
2. Product Options: Where Specifications indicate that sizes, profiles, and dimensional requirements provide the specified product, or approved equal.
