About this file
This document is a Request for Sole Source Justification under FAR 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network/Program Contracting Office 1 is procuring firm-fixed-price furniture to support the Newington Primary Care expansion activation project. The requirement is for specific furniture items described in an attached technical specification, with an estimated delivery date of September 2024 and a period of performance from August 2024 to August 2025. The justification cites FAR 6.302-1, as this is a brand-name or equal procurement to ensure uniformity and compatibility with existing furniture at the VA Medical Center. The procurement will be set aside for 100% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, as the contracting officer has identified two qualified SDVOSB distributors. The contracting officer expects to determine the proposed price as fair and reasonable through adequate price competition.
The related federal contract opportunity is an RFQ for Furniture and Office Equipment, with NAICS code 337214 and a small business size standard of 1,100 employees. This 100% SDVOSB set-aside solicitation is issued by Network Contract Office 1, Procurement Office East on behalf of the Department of Veterans Affairs.
