About this file
This document is a justification for other than full and open competition for a sole source contract with Medtronic USA Inc. for service of a Medtronic O-Arm used for image guidance at the Portland VA Medical Center. The base period of performance is from October 1, 2023 through September 30, 2024 with four one-year option periods. Pricing was determined fair and reasonable based on the previous contract. Limited market research found no other authorized providers for these complex medical device services as Medtronic does not authorize third parties to service or repair its equipment. The Department of Veterans Affairs certified this as a bona fide need and approved the justification in accordance with agency policy.
