About this file

This is a service transition notification letter from GE Healthcare to customers dated April 19, 2016. GE Healthcare has entered into an agreement with Alpha Source, Inc., a Milwaukee, Wisconsin-based company with 28 years of experience in quality parts procurement and service management, to assume responsibility as the service provider for GE Healthcare's Bone Mineral Densitometry (BMD/Lunar) products throughout the United States. GE Healthcare will continue to design, manufacture, and sell these products while Alpha Source assumes all installations, warranty services, post-warranty services, contract services, and hourly billed service responsibilities for BMD products.

To ensure a seamless transition, GE Healthcare is providing Alpha Source with transitional support for a limited period, including an inventory of parts, technical training for Alpha Source field engineers, documentation, and technical support. Existing contract pricing, entitlements, and end dates remain unchanged. Customers should continue directing all service calls and invoice payments to GE Healthcare until the transition is complete over the next couple of months. For inquiries regarding this change, customers may contact Don Smith, Alpha Source Vice President of Services, at (866) 907-9745 option 2.

Dear Customer:

GE Healthcare will continue to design, manufacture, and sell these products to serve the needs of our customers.

Alpha Source is a Milwaukee, WI based company that has been providing innovative solutions for quality parts procurement and service management for 28 years. Additionally, Alpha Source’s national field service organization has been successfully servicing a number of GE Healthcare’s End of Service Life (EOSL) Ultrasound products for the past three years. GE Healthcare has assigned, and Alpha Source has assumed responsibility for installations, warranty, and post-warranty services, including contract services and hourly billed service for the BMD products. To ensure a seamless transition for our customers, GE Healthcare is providing transitional services to Alpha Source for a limited period of time, which will include an inventory of parts, technical training for Alpha Source field engineers, documentation, and technical support.

While the price, entitlement, and end dates for the below listed contracted system(s) will not change, GE will be transitioning the management of these services over to Alpha Source over the next couple of months. Until the transition is complete, please continue to place all service calls and remit invoice payments to GE Healthcare, as you have previously done. In the event you would like to speak with someone about this change, please feel free to contact Don Smith, Alpha Source Vice President of Services, at (866) 907-9745 option 2.
