About this file

This is an addendum to a solicitation document issued by the Board of County Commissioners, Palm Beach County, Florida, Facilities Development and Operations Department, Capital Improvements Division for the PBSO Aviation—Structural & Miscellaneous Repairs (RE-BID) project (Project Number P-2024-006300.1). Addendum Three, issued on July 29, 2026, modifies the original bidding documents and establishes a revised bid due date of August 6, 2026, by 2:00 PM, extended from the original date of July 30, 2026. The scope of work includes removal, disposal, and replacement of all metal siding on the north side of the building as detailed in attached exhibits, along with disposal of any metal replaced on overhead doors. Bidders must acknowledge receipt of this addendum on the bid proposal form to avoid disqualification.

The addendum addresses a request for information from THAVI LLC regarding insulation requirements for new metal wall panels. The County specifies that replacement metal wall panels must comply with the 2023 Florida Building Code and applicable Miami-Dade Notice of Acceptance approvals. For Climate Zone 1 coverage in Florida (which includes Palm Beach County), the required above-grade wall insulation is R-13 cavity insulation plus R-6.5 continuous insulation (R-13 + R-6.5ci), as referenced in FBC Commercial Energy Efficiency Table C402.1.3. Contractors may alternatively comply using the overall assembly U-factor method outlined in FBC Table C402.1.4 if their specific metal building wall assembly achieves equivalent thermal performance. All bidders must sign and attach this addendum to their bid forms, with failure to do so potentially resulting in disqualification.
