About this file
This Performance Work Statement (PWS) is for testing, pumping, cleaning, maintenance, and inspection of oil/water separators (OWS) and trench drains at Travis Air Force Base (TAFB). The contractor will be responsible for managing all aspects of cleaning and inspecting 15 active oil/water separators with capacities ranging from 290 to 2,000 gallons, located at various facilities including vehicle maintenance, car wash, aircraft washing, and fuel cell maintenance areas.
Key requirements include performing characterization sampling and testing of waste materials, thoroughly cleaning and inspecting OWS and trench drains, documenting defects, and properly disposing of waste in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. The work involves pumping out all oil, water, and waste, using high-pressure cleaning devices, and ensuring unrestricted flow. Most OWS will be cleaned once annually, with one facility (Aircraft Wash Rack) requiring quarterly cleaning. The contractor must comply with safety standards, environmental spill procedures, and obtain necessary certifications for handling petroleum products and hazardous waste.
