About this file

This document is a procurement specification from the Office of Water Resources (OWR) for a GPS Antenna Receiver. The agency intends to purchase a new GPS Antenna Receiver that is either Trimble equipment or fully compatible with existing Trimble surveying equipment and software. The specification requires one (1) GPS Antenna Receiver, specifically a Trimble 12i GPS unit or an equivalent global navigation satellite system (GNSS) integrated antenna/receiver system. The receiver must have a wideband UHF radio with a minimum 2-watt transmission capability and achieve maximum RTK surveying accuracy of 8 mm horizontal and 15 mm vertical.

The procurement requires the product to be new, unused, and free from defects, with shipping costs included in the bid. The vendor must provide comprehensive product literature, technical specifications, and product manuals to demonstrate compliance with the minimum requirements. A minimum one-year manufacturer's full coverage warranty is mandatory, and vendors must submit detailed warranty information with their bid. The specification allows for "or equal" submissions, with the burden of proof for equivalence resting on the bidder, and the brand name is used to establish quality and performance standards rather than to restrict competition.
