About this file
This is a product specification and implementation document for the City of Orlando's Parking Division regarding the procurement of Orikan's Metro LITE Virtual Meter solution. The project involves the implementation of 25 virtual meter units deployed through an initial three-month trial period to evaluate customer adoption, transaction volume, and operational effectiveness before considering expansion. The Metro LITE Virtual Meter is a smartphone-based parking payment solution that utilizes NFC tap-to-pay or text-to-park functionality, directing customers to the PayStay payment portal for secure transactions. The platform accepts multiple payment methods including credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay, and serves as a mobility hub providing connectivity to e-bikes, e-scooters, rideshare services, rail, and bus information.
The document does not contain specific pricing terms, set-asides, contract term details, or funding source information. No incumbent contractor is identified, and no response dates, due dates, site visits, or bidders' meetings are specified in the available materials. The implementation strategy prioritizes evaluation of customer convenience improvements and the reduction of traditional parking meter infrastructure needs during the trial phase.
