About this file
This document is a Request for Quote (RFQ) issued by the Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs - Benefit Fund for the Illinois Veterans' Home - LaSalle. The RFQ is for the procurement of 358,400 ounces of 100% non-refrigerated orange juice, to be ordered as needed throughout the remainder of the fiscal year 2019 from December 2018 to June 2019. The estimated weekly requirement is 12,800 ounces. Vendors are required to provide pricing per ounce, as well as container size and case quantity information. The winning vendor will be selected based on the lowest total bid for all products. The RFQ stipulates that all quoted prices must be valid for 180 days from the date of submission and include shipping and handling charges, with no price increases accepted.
The RFQ also includes notes to vendors, stating that the agency reserves the right to reject all offers, award by item or in total, and that "or equal" submissions will not be rejected due to minor differences. Vendors are responsible for ensuring compliance with prevailing wage requirements. The agency will not accept any price increases, but will guarantee the lowest price in the event of a decrease.
