Administrative Office of the United States Courts Probation & Pretrial Services Office Virtual Supervision Applications Industry Demonstrations Event Q&A with Participating Vendors

1. Are submitted answers to narratives available for review by all submitting entities?

No. Submitted Responses to the Request for Information will be available only to AO and NCSC staff.

1. What is the composition of the review committee (e.g. US probation employees, consultants, retired employees, vendors)?

The Administrative Office’s PPSO Virtual Supervision Technical Evaluation Committee members are representatives from PPSO District Offices who currently work in the field as probation or pretrial officers or supervisors.

1. Must the 20-page limit include a copy of the narrative of the questions?

No, but Responses that at least cross-reference a User Story’s number (1-15) would be the easiest to understand.

1. Is it necessary to be registered with any government procurement system in order to respond (e.g. SAM, D&B, SBA)?

No, not for responding to the RFI.

1. How will demonstrations be given? E.g. One vendor at a time before a panel, or all vendors in a room with evaluators circulating?

Each vendor who chooses to participate in the Industry Demonstrations Event will be scheduled for an individual presentation to the PPSO Virtual Supervision Technical Evaluation Committee.

1. How long will a vendor have to describe and present the product?

Each vendor who chooses to participate in the Industry Demonstrations Event will be allotted 30 minutes for set-up time and then 90 minutes (1 ½ hours) for its presentation.

1. How many people may a vendor send to the presentations?

Each vendor who chooses to participate in the Industry Demonstrations Event may decide how best to present its Virtual Supervision Application, but because of space constraints, a vendor team of no more than three or four people would be the most comfortable.

1. May the vendor bring sample equipment on which to demonstrate the product?

Yes.

1. What type of network access will be available at the demonstration location - e.g. a wi-fi network to which we may connect, a cellular service network?

The Industry Demonstrations Event will be conducted at the National Center for State Courts’ office in Arlington, Virginia. NCSC can offer Guest Wi-Fi, and most cell-phone providers offer service in the area. Any additional connectivity needs should be provided by the vendor.

1. Confirming that sections of the 20-page white paper may be marked as confidential while other sections are not so marked Yes.

1. Confirming that the pricing information requested is around pricing structure(s) rather than requesting a priced offer Yes.

1. Does the committee have an interest in understanding the application of the product to the transition through reentry Yes. PPSO’s User Stories are intended to cover both pretrial and post-conviction supervision.

1. Has the committee taken a position on the provision of hardware for officers and probationers?

No.
