About this file

This is a supplier and bidder registration guide for OhioBuys, Ohio's state procurement platform managed by the Ohio Department of Administrative Services. The document outlines the two-step registration process for suppliers and bidders to conduct business with the State of Ohio, beginning with registration in OhioPays (ohiopays.ohio.gov) and followed by accessing OhioBuys (ohiobuys.ohio.gov). The platform provides functionality for users to search suppliers based on commodity codes, create solicitations, notify suppliers of bids, award contracts, create purchase orders, and utilize data analytics for spend tracking.

The guide details technical requirements including the need for an OH|ID account, which provides an 8-digit user ID for accessing state applications. Support resources are available through web-based eLearning videos, hosted webinars, and job aids, with technical assistance provided by the Ohio Shared Services Team. The platform allows suppliers to maintain their company profiles, add commodity codes for products and services, manage contact information, view purchase orders, track invoice status, and access payment information.
