About this file

The document is an informational guide about OhioBuys, a procurement platform for the State of Ohio, designed to facilitate procurement activities across all Cabinet Agencies as of May 2022. The platform provides a comprehensive suite of functionalities for suppliers and bidders, including catalog shopping for state contracts, browsing available goods and services (such as batteries, clothing, hardware, IT equipment, office supplies), and managing solicitations and contracts. OhioBuys offers features like quick quoting, automated workflow approvals, data analytics, and reporting capabilities that enable users to track spending across contracts, categories, and suppliers at both agency and enterprise levels.

To access the platform, suppliers and bidders must obtain an OH|ID, a secure single sign-on credential that requires a valid email address matching the user's contact record. The system supports full registration for established suppliers and allows potential bidders to respond to business opportunities. OhioBuys provides extensive training resources including web-based eLearning videos, webinars, and job aids to help users effectively navigate the platform. Support is available through the Ohio Shared Services Team, with contact information provided for registration questions and technical assistance. The platform aims to increase procurement efficiency, expand business opportunities, and improve participation for businesses in Ohio.

• Seamless linkages across order-through-pay transactions; increasing compliance while automating exception scenarios by routing to the proper authority.

Supplier and Bidder Registration A Supplier is a business or organization that is fully registered to do business with the State, while a Bidder is a business or organization that wants to respond to an opportunity to do business with the State and is not currently a fully-registered State Supplier.

To begin registration, Bidders and Suppliers need an OH|ID to access Ohio Buys. To find out how to obtain an OH|ID, please see page 2.

OH|ID.

• The email address used to create your OH|ID must match the email address associated with your Supplier contact record in OhioBuys

To access OhioBuys, navigate to: https://ohiobuys.ohio.gov

Then click on the OhioBuys Login button to either create an account and obtain your OH|ID or input your OH|ID and password to log in to OhioBuys.
