About this file

This is a Disclosure Statement issued by Events DC, a District of Columbia government agency, requiring disclosure of business, familial, or personal relationships between principals and identified Events DC Board of Directors and Key Staff Members. The disclosure statement applies to the Architectural Wood Restoration contract opportunity, which seeks a qualified contractor to provide architectural woodwork restoration services on an as-needed basis at Events DC facilities. The contractor must provide all supervision, labor, materials, and equipment necessary to meet the specifications outlined in the solicitation. Principals must submit signed and dated statements disclosing any past or present relationships with any of the thirteen Events DC Board members listed, including Chairman Leif Dormsjo and Treasurer Cherrie Doggett, as well as fifteen Key Staff Members, including President and Chief Executive Officer Angie M. Gates and General Counsel Nicole Becton Jackson, Esq.

The disclosure requirement allows for submission of a simple signed statement if no relationships exist between principals and the identified board or staff members. If relationships do exist, the statement must describe the nature of the relationship and include a specific certification attesting that the disclosure represents a full and accurate accounting of all such relationships. Each principal to whom the statement relates must sign the disclosure document. This requirement serves to ensure transparency and identify any potential conflicts of interest prior to contract award.
