About this file

This is a technical specification document for the rental of two trailer-mounted 1000KW self-contained diesel generators, accompanied by a related RFQ (N62789-25-Q-0003) from the Department of the Navy Naval Sea Systems Command. The generators will be delivered to Naval Submarine Base New London in Groton, CT on January 2, 2025, with a performance period through January 29, 2025. The generators must be less than 5 years old, diesel-powered, with 440 VAC/60 Hz three-phase outputs, minimum 1600-gallon fuel capacity, and compatibility with submarine ungrounded electrical systems. Key requirements include emergency service support with 4-hour response time, load bank testing over two 8-hour days, and on-site demonstration of proper usage. The contractor must provide maintenance, upkeep, and repairs during the rental period, with 48-hour replacement of defective units at no additional cost. Quotes are due by 0600 AM EST on December 23, 2024, and must include monthly, weekly, and daily rates plus delivery/pickup costs. Award will be based on best overall value, with non-cost factors weighted more heavily than price.
