About this file

This file is an exhibit listing Colorado victim advocate training resources, compiled in support of the Statewide Crime Victim Training for Law Enforcement contract opportunity (NPSS1 LAAA 2019-206) administered by the Colorado Department of Criminal Justice. The exhibit identifies multiple training providers and educational resources available to victim advocates and criminal justice professionals across the state. Key training providers include the Colorado Victim Assistance Academy, which offers basic victim advocacy training with a curriculum addressing unique Colorado victim services issues; the Colorado Organization for Victim Assistance (COVA), which provides monthly training at no cost to active members; the Colorado Coalition Against Domestic Violence (CCADV) and the Colorado Coalition Against Sexual Assault (CCASA), which offer webinars and onsite training opportunities; the Ending Violence Against Women Program, which provides technical assistance to prosecutors, law enforcement, and victim advocates; and End Violence Against Women International's Online Training Institute, which specializes in criminal justice responses to sexual assault cases. Additional resources include the National Center for Victims of Crime and the Office for Victims of Crime Training and Technical Assistance Center, both offering conferences, webinars, and instructor-led training programs at the national level.

The exhibit serves as a reference document providing contact information and web links for training opportunities available to support the development of crime victim training for law enforcement personnel. Many of the listed training resources offer free or no-cost programs to active members of professional organizations, while others charge fees for non-members. The document does not contain pricing terms, funding amounts, contract duration, or specific procurement details; rather, it functions as a curated list of existing statewide and national training resources that bidders or contract administrators may reference when developing or implementing victim training programs for law enforcement.
