About this file
This is a Notice of Intent to Award (NITA) for a single-source procurement issued by the VA Network Contracting Office 8 (NCO-8) for the VA Caribbean Healthcare System in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
NCO-8 intends to award a firm-fixed price contract to Polymedco Cancer Diagnostics Products LLC for FY26 FIT Analyzer Polymedco-Diana REAGENTS (Cost-Per-Test) consumables. The contract will supply medical testing consumables to replace the current obsolete FIT Analyzer Polymedco REAGENTS platform with the new FIT Analyzer Polymedco-OC Diana REAGENTS model. The procurement is justified as a single-source acquisition under FAR 13.106-1(b) because only Polymedco possesses the capability to provide compatible testing reagents for the new equipment. The products ensure high-quality testing and disease discovery for medical patients. The applicable NAICS code is 334516 (small business threshold: 1,000 employees) with PSC 6640.
Interested firms may challenge the single-source determination by submitting clear and convincing evidence of their capability to provide the services and supplies, demonstrating that competition would benefit the Government. Challenge responses must be submitted via email to Darrin.Alexander2@va.gov no later than February 19, 2025, at 13:00 Eastern Time. The Government reserves the right to proceed with the single-source award or re-compete based on responses received. NCO-8 will not reimburse any costs associated with submitting capability information.
