About this file
This is a Special Notice of Intent announcing a sole source procurement for Cytoflex LX instrument maintenance services. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 19 in Greenwood Village, Colorado intends to award the contract to Beckman Coulter, a large business located at 250 South Kraemer Boulevard, Brea, California. The requirement is for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on a government-owned Beckman Coulter Cytoflex LX instrument located at the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado. The contract will be structured as a base year plus four option years.
The solicitation number is 36C25926Q0816, with a response deadline of 4:30 PM Mountain Time on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. Interested parties may submit capability statements and relevant documentation by the deadline to demonstrate their ability to meet the requirement. The justification for sole source award is that only original equipment manufacturer (OEM) technicians possess the required licenses and certifications to service the instrument; non-OEM technicians are contractually prohibited from servicing it, and such service would void all warranties. The NAICS code is 811210 (Automotive Body, Paint, Interior Repair) with a business size standard of $34 million. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes, and the government reserves the right not to compete the requirement based on responses received. All inquiries should be directed to Contracting Officer Juanita Street at Juanita.Street@va.gov or 303-712-5736.
