About this file
This Notice of Intent to Award is issued by the Long Beach Utilities Department (LBUD) regarding the procurement of SCADA and Radio Communication Network Support Services. Two proposals were received and evaluated for responsiveness against the RFP criteria and requirements. The LBUD intends to award the contract to both Mitra Automation, Inc. and Mako Automation, Inc. based on comprehensive evaluation of all proposal responses and evaluation criteria. The notice is dated March 21, 2024, and explicitly states that this notice does not constitute a final award; the selected vendors will receive formal contracts from LBUD before services commence.
Proposals were evaluated on the basis of responses to all questions, evaluation criteria, and RFP requirements, with LBUD retaining discretion to make awards in its best interests rather than automatically selecting the lowest-priced or highest-scored proposal. All proposals were kept confidential until the award determination. No specific pricing information, contract terms, renewal options, or contract duration details are provided in this notice. LBUD emphasizes its regard for participating firms as important and valuable goods and services providers.

Two (2) proposals were received and evaluated for responsiveness. It is the intent of the LBUD to award to Mitra Automation, Inc and Mako Automation, Inc.
Proposals were evaluated on the basis of the responses to all questions, evaluation criteria, and requirements in the RFP. LBUD shall not be obligated to accept the lowest priced or highest scored proposal, but shall make an award in the best interests of LBUD after all factors have been evaluated. Proposals shall be kept confidential until a contract is awarded.
Thank you for your participation in the procurement process. The LBUD regards your firm as an important and valuable goods/services provider.
Sincerely, Jazzmyn Clark
