Notice of Intent to Award
REDW Waste Disposal
Redwood National Park
The National Park Service, PORE MABO Contracting Office has a requirement for Redwood
National Park, Humboldt County and Del Norte County, CA intends to award a Firm Fixed Price purchase order to Mr. Tedd Ward, 1700 State St, Crescent City, CA,95531 to COUNTY OF
DEL NORTE for REDW Waste Disposal at Redwood National Park. The National Park Service has determined that this is a sole source requirement as defined under FAR 6.302-1. The justification required under FAR 6.303-1 is attached to this special notice. The anticipated period of performance is 7/1/2025 through 6/30/2026. This Notice of Intent to Award is not a solicitation document.
The services procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures soliciting from a single source authorized by FAR Part 13.106-1(b)(1). The North American Industry
Classification System (NAICS) code is 562111, Solid Waste Collection. The anticipated award date is 7/1/2025 or sooner.
COUNTY OF DEL NORTE is the sole facility approved for solid waste disposal in the Crescent
City area. This service requires removal and transportation of solid waste and rubbish to be removed to an approved landfill following all state and federal regulations. National Park Service requires the use of approved landfills meeting EPA requirements.
THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST
FOR PROPOSALS. The Government intends to award this requirement noncompetitively in accordance with FAR 6.302.1 - Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services
Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for quote/proposal. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
