About this file

This notice of intent announces a sole source award of a fixed price contract by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing within the Department of the Treasury. The contract is for the installation and operation of ASECURI prepress workflow software at the agency's Fort Worth facility, along with associated training and maintenance to be provided at both the Fort Worth and Washington D.C. locations. The software is required to operate proprietary components of the agency's Computer Document Design System and must be compatible with that system. The sole source award would be made to Koenig & Bauer Banknote Solutions SA as the original manufacturer of the proprietary hardware and software and the only qualified party to perform maintenance and support services. Interested parties may identify their capability to respond to the requirement by September 7th, though the notice states this is not a request for competitive quotes and a formal solicitation will only be released if the agency determines competitive procedures will be used.
