The estimated value of the emergency procurement is $79,385.00, justified by the urgent need to replace aging HVAC units that have reached the end of their operational life cycle. The procurement was initiated due to elevated temperatures posing direct risks to staff and pre-hire trainees, with replacement deemed the most cost-effective solution to restore a safe working environment and avoid disruptions to training operations. The emergency procurement follows South Carolina procurement regulations, with the notice being posted in the South Carolina Business Opportunities (SCBO) for at least 10 business days, and includes provisions for potential vendors to protest the procurement through specified channels.
