About this file

This document contains bidding notes for the Maine State Warden Service regarding the procurement of a 4-wheel ATV and related equipment for 2012. The ATV specifications include a 4x4 vehicle with a minimum 400cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine with four valves, electric start with auxiliary recoil, automatic transmission with high, low, park, neutral, and reverse modes, shaft-driven two-wheel and four-wheel capability, 25-inch tires, heavy-duty front and rear racks and bumpers, independent rear suspension, MacPherson strut front suspension, hydraulic front and rear brakes, 4-gallon fuel capacity, 3,000-pound electric winch, cover, and rear storage box. Additionally, the procurement includes LED lights for the Warden Service snowmobiles, featuring waterproof dash and deck lights with 40 high-intensity LEDs available in multiple colors (amber, blue, green, red, and white) with solid or split LED array options and various mounting applications.

The primary focus of the bid request centers on LED light units for twelve snowmobiles operated by the Maine State Warden Service. Each snowmobile requires a single blue LED lighthead with a flasher assembly that operates on 12 VDC and is controlled by a single toggle switch, with a maximum current draw of 0.5 amps per unit. The lighthead must be weatherproof with a blue solid LED (not clear with blue lens cover) and include a standard five-year warranty from the date of purchase, while the flasher assembly requires a standard two-year warranty.
