About this file

This is an addendum to a Request for Proposals (RFP) issued by a Michigan state or local agency for a North Campus PA (Public Address) and Bell System project. The addendum, dated July 27, 2026, modifies the original RFP terms and requirements. The document serves as an official amendment to the procurement process, clarifying specifications, requirements, or other procurement details relevant to bidders submitting proposals for the public address and bell system installation or upgrade at a North Campus facility. Prospective vendors must acknowledge receipt of this addendum as part of their bid submission to ensure compliance with the updated solicitation requirements.

The addendum likely contains revisions to technical specifications, pricing schedules, timeline adjustments, or clarifications on deliverables and acceptance criteria established in the original RFP. All bidders are required to incorporate the changes outlined in this addendum into their proposals. The specific modifications, pricing impacts, and any adjustments to submission deadlines or evaluation criteria are detailed within the addendum document itself and supersede conflicting provisions in the original RFP.

North Campus PA System RFP - Addendum 1

Question: There is a lot of demo at the Lyle Torrant building. Can you confirm the awarded vendor will be responsible for the trash removal of demo’ed equipment? If yes, can you confirm that it is OK to drop of a large roll off container in the Torrant parking lot for the duration of the Integration Project?

Answer: Mercer will have a dumpster on site for the entirety of the project. The awarded vendor will be permitted to use that dumpster. It will be the awarded vendor’s responsibility to get the trash into the dumpster.

Question: For the ceiling speaker demos, will JCISD provide replacement ceiling tiles as necessary?

Answer: The ISD can provide the awarded vendor ceiling tiles as needed. However, the chosen vendor will be expected to meet the following requirements:

1. The vendor must exercise due care to not damage ceiling tiles.

2. Vendor must carefully remove existing ceiling tiles as required. Store the removed tiles in a location specified by Customer.

3. The ceiling grid shall not be modified in any way.

4. Vendor can submit a waiver of responsibility for ceiling tiles that are already broken, brittle or discolored.

5. Any tiles that are damaged during the installation process must be installed by Vendor.
