DIRECTIONS: The commodities or contractual services listed on Page 2 of this Notice of Intent (NOI) is available only from a single or sole source and may be exempted from competitive solicitation requirements, as stated in 6A-1.012(12)(d) Florida Administrative Code (FAC). Unless a notice to the contrary with sufficient information is received from companies by the date indicated that can provide "like" or "comparable" products, the School Board shall proceed with the purchase of listed commodities or services on the basis that they are sole source to the provider listed and are exempted as defined by FAC. This cover sheet with all reference material must be received via e-mail at the address above. The School Board reserves the right to decide equivalence of alternatives proposed.

NOTICE: Decisions concerning responses to this Notice of Intent will be posted to VendorLink, the third party notification link and is accessible on the Purchasing and Distribution Services’ website at https://www.scps.k12.fl.us/district/departments/purchasing/comp-solicitations-contracts/. Failure to file a protest within the time prescribed in Section 120.57(3) Florida Statutes will constitute a waiver of proceedings under Chapter 120, Florida Statutes and School Board Rules. Recommendations are available through the website usually within one week after the “Response Due Date” and notices will not be mailed.

Decisions pertaining to sole sourcing are valid for one year after the approval by the School Board and must be re-posted and validated annually.
It is the intent of the School Board of Seminole County, Florida to purchase cooperative learning materials written by or in conjunction with Dr. Spencer Kagan, as well as, training services which include copyrighted Kagan Structures and course materials.
The intended vendor for this Sole Source solicitation is Kagan Professional Development, San Clemente, California.
Approximate annual expenditure is $93,666.00.
Any notice of intent to protest this Sole Source posting shall be e-mailed to moranmz@scps.k12.fl.us before the due date shown on page one, along with a reason.
