Notice of Intent The 673d Contracting Squadron at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), Alaska, intends to award a firm fixed price, single-source contract to LEICA MICROSYSTEMS INC, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). The proposed contract action is for the acquisition of regularly scheduled preventive maintenance and calibration (on-site) for the list of equipment in Table 1. These units are located at the 673 Medical Group, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska.

The 673 Medical Group requires a maintenance and service agreement that provides all personnel, equipment, tools, test equipment, transportation, parts, materials, supervision and other items and services necessary to perform preventive maintenance and calibration (on-site) for the equipment listed in Table 1.
The Period of Performance for the required services are as follows:
Base Year: 30 Sep 22 - 29 Sep 23 Option Year 1: 30 Sep 23 - 29 Sep 24 Option Year 2: 30 Sep 24 - 29 Sep 25
The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition for this simplified acquisition is FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i).
THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES AND NO SOLICITATION IS
AVAILABLE. The circumstances of this contract action deem one single source is reasonably available to fulfill the stated requirement. Interested organizations, who believe they can meet the requirement, may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the requirement in writing to no later than 10:00 AM, AKDT, Friday, 19 June 2022 to the following email addresses:

A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications will not be accepted in response to this notice. No request for proposals or quotes will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent.
