The contractor shall provide clinical, research, and training support related to Sjogren’s syndrome and other rheumatologic conditions with oral manifestations, including:
• clinical expertise supporting research of human subject protocols, amendments, and adverse event reporting;
• clinical management and evaluation of patients/subjects with rheumatologic conditions associated with salivary gland pathology;

Sole Source Justification Johns Hopkins University is the only known source capable of providing the required specialized rheumatology expertise, clinical research support, and collaborative experience necessary to support the NIDCR Salivary Gland Disorders research program.
The proposed source has the unique capability to provide a rheumatologist with demonstrated expertise in Sjogren’s syndrome and related rheumatologic conditions with oral manifestations, along with the ability to support ongoing clinical care, protocol development, subject enrollment, research collaboration, and training activities integral to the NIDCR mission.
