NOTICE OF INTENT
FAR 6.302-1 ONLY ONE RESPONSIBLE SOURCE AND NO OTHER SUPPLIES
OR SERVICES WILL SATISFY AGENCY REQUIREMENTS
PLEASE READ THIS NOTICE CAREFULLY AS IT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY NOTICE
THAT WILL BE PUBLISHED. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate a one-time, sole source, firm fixed price contract with Bren-Tronics Defense LLC, Address: 10
Brayton CT Commack, NY 11725 for the purpose of acquiring more rechargeable batteries. The
FBI possesses battery chargers manufactured by Bren-Tronics Defense LLC. These batteries are used interchangeably across agencies in the field, and the ability to coordinate with partners is considered essential. These are direct replacement parts for existing equipment, which integrate with other current equipment, and are considered a critical component in completing the mission.
These batteries are proprietary to Bren-Tronics Defense LLC, and they are the only manufacturer and distributer of these parts The Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, interested parties may identify their interests and/or capabilities statement to this requirement by contacting Contracting
Officer, Emily York, via email only at eyork@fbi.gov, no later than Friday, June 27, 2025, at
11:00am CT. Responses sent via other means (i.e. via telephone call, facsimile transmission, etc.)
will not be considered. Information received will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is at the discretion of the
Government.
