About this file
This document is a Notice of Sole Source Contract Award to a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concern for disinterment, transport, re-interment, and funeral services for a veteran's remains from the Calverton National Cemetery in New York to the Pikes Peak National Cemetery in Colorado.
The Department of Veterans Affairs National Cemetery Administration awarded a contract valued at $23,195 to Worrell Contracting Co Inc, an SDVOSB, for these services. The contract has a 30-day period of performance. The award was made on a sole-source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 (Only One Responsible Source) due to Worrell Contracting's unique qualifications and ability to perform the services on an urgent timeline. Market research was conducted, but Worrell was the only SDVOSB concern able to immediately provide the required staff, tools, and resources.
