About this file

This document is an Item Description for a Nitrogen Generator, specifically for the Department of the Air Force Oklahoma City Air Logistics Complex at Tinker Air Force Base. The requirement is for one nitrogen generator to supply nitrogen gas for inflating aircraft tires, with precise technical specifications including 95-99% nitrogen purity, membrane production technology, and specific dimensional constraints (maximum 6' x 3' x 6', 4,000 lbs). Key technical parameters include output flow of 13-20 SCFM, storage pressure of 4000-5000 PSIG, electrical requirements of 460V/60Hz/3 Phase, and operational temperature range of 50F-125F.

The system must be a complete turn-key solution with integrated components including a rotary screw air compressor, filtration, pressure regulation, and an in-line oxygen analyzer for continuous nitrogen purity monitoring. Additional requirements include a touchscreen Human-Machine Interface (HMI) control panel, emergency stop button, and capability to provide nitrogen storage at 4500 psi with output reduced to 300-500 psi. The generator will undergo acceptance testing after installation by the Maintenance Support Group, and must include a standard one-year warranty and safety manual. The solicitation is associated with Solicitation Number FA8125-26-Q-0018-0002 from the Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center.

DEPARTMENT OF THE AIR FORCE

OKLAHOMA CITY AIR LOGISTICS COMPLEX (OC-ALC)

TINKER AIR FORCE BASE OKLAHOMA

Item Description Revision 02

Nitrogen Generator C26-005 76 CMXG is requesting a Nitrogen Generator. This requirement must have the following specifications:

Nitrogen Generator that produces nitrogen gas of the following specifications:

One (1) each Nitrogen Generator

· Purpose: supply nitrogen gas required for inflating aircraft tires.

· Uses membrane nitrogen production

· Nitrogen Purity: 95% - 99% (produces nitrogen gas limited to at most 5% oxygen impurities)- Target purity is 97%

· Max Size: 6' x 3' x 6'

· Max weight: 4,000 lbs

· Quality of nitrogen: dry, oil-less

· Storage pressure: 4000 - 5000 PSIG (Pounds per square inch gauge)

· Output pressure: 300 - 500 PSIG (Pounds per square inch gauge)- provide on board storage of reserve nitrogen. Desired storage capacity of 850 CFM.

· Output flow: 13 - 20 SCFM (Standard cubic feet per minute)- Nominal SCFM is 15 SCFM.

· Operating temperature: 50°F - 125°F

· Electrical Utilities: 460V/60Hz/3 Phase

· Compressed air source- There is no external compressed air system to use with new N2 generator.

· Nitrogen Storage & Delivery: Requires 4000-5000 psi internal storage (achieved via booster compressor, currently at 4500 psi), then reduced to 300-500 psi output.

· Expected to provide a complete turn-key system including piping, regulators, and related accessories.

· System must include a nitrogen generator/source, filtration, pressure regulation, and an in-line oxygen analyzer to continuously monitor nitrogen purity and alert upon exceeding specified O2 concentration levels.

· Panel should utilize a touchscreen Human-Machine Interface (HMI) control panel with information and other readings on how the machine is operating that can be pulled up on said control panel. Include an Emergency Stop button on the same side of the machine that the control panel is located.

· Utilizes a rotary screw air compressor” (this air compressor should be a component that is contained within the nitrogen generator, to prevent the need to use an external compressed air source)

· Acceptance testing will be performed after installation is complete (installation that is completed by Maintenance Support Group) on base at Tinker.

· Standard One Year Warranty and Safety Manual Included image1.wmf
