BID AMENDMENT NO. 1,

RML Building 7 Renovation P.1

FROM THE OFFICE OF: ARCHITECTS DESIGN GROUP, PC

NO. 1 SUNSET PLAZA

KALISPELL, MONTANA 59901

PROJECT: RML Building 7 Renovation ADG 09-944

BID AMENDMENT NO. 1 08-03-09

GENERAL:

By building green, this project plans to assist in protecting air and water quality, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and generating less solid waste, while conserving natural resources and creating healthier indoor and outdoor environments. The goal is to produce tangible economic and public health benefits. These include lower operating costs via reduced energy and water utility bills, and reduced maintenance and replacement costs due to greater durability of materials. Green building results in improved occupant health and comfort (primarily due to indoor air quality measures and daylighting) which in turn leads to higher productivity, less absenteeism, and reduced insurance costs and liability risk.

During construction, the opportunity exists for contractors and subcontractors to show leadership in building green, as measured by the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating system. The design team will assist the contractor and subcontractors in meeting this high standard through construction waste management, recycled content in building materials, installation of energy efficient systems, and the purchase of regionally extracted, harvested, assembled and built products.

SPECIFICATIONS:
