Automated Fluid

TITLE: Automated Fluid Dispense System Requesting Lab/Division/Group: 687 08

NB687080 19 01360

Statement of Need The Quantum Sensors Project at NIST Boulder requires an automated fluid dispense system capable of dispensing small quantities of various epoxies under computer control in a pattern to fill micro-machined cavities in 150 mm diameter parts using preprogrammed dispense patterns. Computer vision, a 3 D motorized stage and dispense control must be included.

Shipping & Delivery

6 weeks ARO. The contractor shall supply all parts, hardware, equipment, and labor required to perform the tasks listed in the technical specifications.

Installation A one day site visit for tool installation and set up is required, along with tool training. After the tool installation and set up, the system must be able to perform according to the technical specifications. The contractor shall supply all parts, hardware, equipment, and labor required to perform the tasks listed in the technical specifications.

Inspection and Acceptance

The Quantum Sensors Group (687.08) will physically inspect the automated dispense system to verify that it meets the technical specifications after contractor has performed installation, set up and training. After the one day tool

Automated Fluid Dispense System installation and set up, the system must be able to perform according to the technical specifications. Final acceptance will be determined within 30 calendar days of delivery, installation, and training.

Travel The contractor shall be responsible for all travel expenses for one day tool setup, installation, and training. The contractor shall supply all parts, hardware, equipment, and labor required to perform the tasks listed.

The contractor shall conduct one (1) training session for NIST users. The training shall provide a thorough demonstration of all system/solution functions, maintenance, data administration, and basic troubleshooting. The training shall be completed at NIST immediately after installation/set-up and on-site measurements demonstrating that no damage or misalignment issues arose during transportation and installation, but shall be completed no later than 30 days after delivery.
