About this file
This is a questionnaire for the Tactical Resupply Unmanned Aircraft System (TRUAS) Increment II technology demonstration. The questionnaire requests detailed information from industry participants interested in demonstrating cargo unmanned aircraft systems for the Marine Corps Unmanned Logistics System - Air (ULS-A) during a demonstration scheduled for January 25 through February 5, 2027, in Huntsville, Alabama. Respondents must provide company identification including CAGE Code or Unique Entity ID (UEI), U.S. office address, and point of contact information. The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) seeks UAS with a maximum gross take-off weight preference of up to 350 pounds capable of autonomous cargo delivery operations.
Technical specifications required include UAS dimensions, transport case dimensions and quantity, maximum cargo weight capacity, and operational performance capabilities such as the ability to travel 40 nautical miles carrying a 100-pound payload with autonomous drop capability and return to launch empty, or 10 nautical miles with a 150-pound payload. Applicants must confirm altitude operations up to 4,500 feet density altitude, 50-knot indicated airspeed capability, 20-knot wind and crosswind tolerance, and heavy fuel compatibility if applicable. Additional requirements include Mode-3/c transponder integration data, frequency operation ranges, and agreement to provide supporting data for DoD Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) waivers, NAVAIR airworthiness certification, and spectrum approval processes, including completed DD1494 forms. Rough-order-of-magnitude pricing for production quantities of 1, 10, 20, 50, and 100 systems must be provided, along with nonrecurring engineering costs and data rights information. Successful demonstration performance may result in award of an Other Transaction (OT) Prototype Agreement per 10 U.S.C. 4022.
