Q.1. Does the project budget exclude the cost for Government furnished materials?
A.1. Yes, project budget is excluding government furnished materials and equipment.
Q.2. Regarding the Government furnished materials, furnishings, equipment, and fixtures. Do the materials include the following items: All irrigation components (i.e. piping, wiring, heads, valves, valve boxes, etc.), all drainage piping and fittings regardless of size, lake liners, aerators for lakes (if required) with all necessary electrical components (i.e. conduits, wiring, electrical panels, etc.) , all materials for the irrigation pump house (i.e. concrete, CMU, roof trusses, roof hatch, sheathing, shingles, doors, paint, electrical transformer relocation (wiring associated with it), wet well, intake piping, chemical and fertilizer injection system, etc.), bunker sand, greensmix, all turf (i.e. sod, seed, sprigs, hydromulch, etc.), trees and shrubs, new bridge from #13 green to #14 tee to match bridge at hole #3, concrete for abutments for aforementioned bridge, and concrete for cart paths?
A.2. Yes
Q.3. In SECTION C, page 3 of 8, item h. discusses irrigation systems to be replaced and connected to the potable water system....my understanding is that only the irrigation for the greens is connected to the potable system and the remaining irrigation system (tees, fairways, roughs) is from the pump station which pulls water from the San Diego River. Please confirm.
A.3. This is connected to the city water but do not know if any booster pumps are needed. It’s not part of the pump station.
Q.4. Regarding the Government furnished materials, furnishings, equipment, and fixtures. We assume equipment does not mean bulldozers, excavators, dump trucks, etc. nor does it mean fuel for this equipment.
A.4. Confirmed, the contractor shall provide their own heavy equipment like bulldozers, excavators, etc.
Q.5. Is the contractor responsible for the killing of the existing grass and pulverizing it prior to construction start?
A.5. The Government will handle the spraying of the existing turf, but the contractor shall be responsible for the pulverizing.
Q.6. Are there taxes on contractor's labor, equipment, fuel? Or are those items exempt?
A.6. The contractor is responsible for their own taxes.
Q.7. Is the contractor required to participate in any apprentice program?
A.7. No.
Q.8. Other than the SWPPP, does the contractor need to submit any other permits (i.e. grading, building, etc.)?
A.8. No other permits, other than final work permits are required.
Q.9. When you mention machinery, you're talking about dozers loaders etcetera, motorized, correct?
A.9. Yes.
Q.10. Is the existing routing plan to be used or can we change the routing?
A.10. That will be part of the design submittal. There is no requirement for one or the other, but whichever option is cost effective is preferential.
Q.11. We are unable to provide a complete irrigation design due to the difficulty of sizing, length measurements, etc. according to water volume. Can we provide a range?
A.11. Provide your best range according to the RFP, golf course size, and topographical.
Q.12. Given the sites adjacent location to the San Diego River, are there any anticipated habitat impacts permitting needs mitigation associated with the design build?
A.12. Please reference the environmental assessments provided in the Section J attachments. There is a nesting season that will need to be taken in to consideration. As far as permitting, it has already been done. Ensure that you follow the Environmental Assessment.
Q.13. Is this project fully funded?
A.13. Yes.
